Well ... Verizon has seemed to fix the BlackBerry Maps GPS issue. In Verizon fashion, Device GPS is no longer an option. Got to love the way they treat us. Suprised they left in the stereo bluetooth profile - seems they could have charged extra for that.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~it also allows the BB to be unlocked so it will accpet any sim from a gsm carrier... I have a complete list of changes at work...(I work for vzw). It also increased ringer volume..

I was told its suppose to fix the device lockup when dialing out while a call is incoming. However I am reluctant to install it becasue of the following warning that is posted
    http://www.vzam.net/blackberry/

BlackBerry 4.x software for your handheld device requires an increased amount of storage space than previous versions. As a result of downloading the BlackBerry 4.x software to your handheld device, previous versions of the software will be removed and the remaining available memory generally used for storing email, contacts, calendar, and applications will be significantly reduced

    Ashzaki -

I believe that is their legal counsel's general disclaimer to address the free file space issue and is not specific to this firmware. I currently show about 18MB free and have numerous 3rd Party apps installed: SlashID, IM+, BBWeather, Google Maps, 3 Magmic Games, Viigo, Maufait, and Berry-A-Code. I have a stock install minus DOD certs, MDS, sample video and additional languages.

    Take the plunge!

Huh? looks the same for me! GPS is still there as it was before. Also I have seen this before about the stereo BT.... is this true? Where can we find a list of updates included with these releases?

    Thanks for any help!

I know that Bluetooth Stereo has been added. Works great for Music. Doesnt work for Video, which I have read is an issue for the 8300 as well.

'Switch Application' option has been removed from each app. (You can still use ALT-ESC to switch apps)

That is all I am aware of for now.
