    Lightbulb Uncaught Exception:

Hi i would like to share an error that was happening on my 8800:

    Uncaught Exception:
    Java.lang.ArrayIndexOutofBoundsException

This happened on the device no matter the theme/language selected while pressing on the home screen two times the "1w" buttom, and it keeps playing the buttom sound as if you were hold it down, no matter if you turn on/off the device the sound keeps playing, the only way to stop it is having the battery removed and reinserted on the device.

I solved it by adding a contact which first and last name contains wwwwhateveryouwant.

I am using the latest software version from cingular.

ps: if somebody find another way to fix this do let me know

Maybe a clean wipe and restore of the OS?

In my case it does mind, as the sound keeps playing (as if you were holding down the buttom) until you get out the battery, it does not let you do/receive call as you are not able to hear anything.

So it must be a way to get it fixed.

ps. i did wiped all the os/apps and do a fresh install, and the trouble continue... so i went to my solution

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ My Pearl throws one every time I try to type a link in BlackBerry Messenger. Then it gives a message about the program shutting down. All it does when that comes up is kick me out of the conversation and back to the home screen. This is my 2nd Pearl since January 2007.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I also asked Chris (cp6169) about the issue and he told me his 8703e from Sprint does the same thing when he uses JiveTalk.

    Re: Uncaught Exception:

Having same problem w/NEXTEL 7100i "uncaught exception: java.lang.error" every time I reboot in any fashion. Also causes phone 2 "re-connect/register" w/network...Also having more complicated problem of forced restarts where screen blanks and "reset" shows n center screen...I know first suggestion is 2 dump/restore or upgrade 2 new OS --Having done both, problems continue...Anyone have problems w/NEXTEL voicemail continuously quitting on 7100i? Keep having 2 get it reset by NEXTEL...or w/having to reset phone 2 get wave ringtones to work again?

Thumbs up Re: Uncaught Exception: SOLVED!!!

    Hi Guys!

After doing some test & fail over and over again, i managed to find the source of my problem, it was the donwloaded theme for 8800 located in this post:

    http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ta_themes.html

    And the theme itself is:
    http://www.mobile41.com/8800%20theme...me_noname1.jad

I did had to wipe my device, recover the backup information and now everything is going just perfect.

ps: i will not install anymore themes until it gets futher tested

    Cheers
