Yeah, its happened to me while tryin to use the trackball to zoom. A soft reset usually puts you back in the game.

This is after the reset! When i do a battery pull and my device completes the reboot i unlock my device via password and i cant navigate cause the trackball doesn't respond! Only after turning the device off by holding down the power button than turning it back on will it work!

Bring it back to Cing for a swap...no sense dealing with it especially after your 30 days are up.

My friend used 2 work 4 celestica who do nearly all bb repairs in the uk, he thinks it could b a connection problem between trackball and ui. All coverd on warranty, if it doesn't sort itself out then I'd get it sent away 4 repair sooner rather than later.

    Re: trackball freeze

I have two 8800's and it seems that after a reboot it takes up to 15 minutes or even more before the trackball will do any kind of scrolling. The pressing function works but not the scrolling. Very frustrating.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ok so I run into this problem a couple of times and all I do to fix this is to turn off the screen by pressing the pwr button until just the screen turns off. Then press again and viola....
