Sync Outlook, where is it?
I just picked up an 8800 yesterday and got everything up and running except syncing to Outlook. When I go to "configure synch" in the Desktop Manager and I click, say, on the Calendar, there are no applications there. I only have an option for the ASCII Importer/Exporter.
Any ideas on how I can get Outlook in there? The advanced tab is grayed out too...
What version of :
are you running?
And the latest desktop manager just downloaded
~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
I'm still not able to sync. Any help on this?
I have the latest Desktop Manager and the phone connects and backsup fine. I just don't see any options for Outlook as an "Available desktop applications". Only the ASCII Importer/Exporter
So you go into the DM, select Synchronize, click on the Configuration Tab, click on Configure Synch and you don't see an option to select Outlook?
that's right. I just see an option for "ASCII Importer/Exporter"
I had no problem previously with my Pearl 8100, though both the Desktop Manager and obviously the 8800 OS are different/newer
Odd. I, too have Vista, Office '07 and DM v4.5. Although I haven't tried to synch yet with this version of DM so I'm not sure if I have the same issue. Have just used it to load new handheld OS.
I had this problem also when I upgraded the desktop from 4.2 to 4.5. My outlook is done on our work servers, and I don't use BES. What I did was downgraded the desktop and I am still able to sync with my work outlook. If someone has any other suggestions, please let me know also.
Went to the darkside and got a Vibrant!
interesting . Anyone know where I can get 4.2?
Follow the link in my blog to "download desktop manager from RIM". You will find it there. (also 4.3 if you want to try it).
Keep us updated on your progress!
