    Suretype-like App for the BB8800

One thing I like about the 8100 is the Suretype app. I thought it was great if you're a lazy typist. It helps you complete with partial entry of your words.

If you're coming from the Sony Ericsson world, put it this way, it's the T9...

I just got the 8800 (and I'm a BB n00b), I'm wondering if there's any app that will help me do pre emptive typing, like like the SureType, as well as spell checking?

well, i don't have an 8800, nor have i ever even used a qwerty device...but do you have, under options, custom word and auto-text, or does that only come on sure-type devices?

Why aren't you using a Pearl if you want SureType?

Spellchecking is going to require a 3rd party app, or a very large number of autotext entries. Actualy, I think building up the autotext library might be the only way to simulate Suretype on an 8800.

Still, actual typing is still faster than SureType, and doesn't really make sense on a full keyboard device.
It doesn't record video. Get over it.

please disregard me. I was hallucinating.

I often want things I can't have... without looking at what I already have :P
I certainly don't need suretype. heheheh.

I understand hidea. Sometimes I would like my 8703e to take pictures.
I just don't want to tape my camera to it.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I started out on the 8100 and really liked the SureType - it did a fairly good job predicting and it seemed to do a good job of auto-filling in the wordlist. Now I'm on the 8800 - and wouldn't go back - just need my qwerty keyboard!

There are plenty of spellcheckers for the BB. Lexspell has just been fixed to work properly on the 8800.

Suretype is not available on querty devices as the 8800, there are some development on spellcheckers.
