    Ready? T-Mobile 8800 for 19.99

This has not been formally announced yet...but:

    go to www.ushopwireless.com/unkn

What do you see in the top row? Click away, and you'll find that the 8800 on T-mobile is being sold by this website (Venicom Wireless, really) for 19.99 after all rebates. Yes, it's restricted in that you must use it on T-mobile for 6 months and have a 39.99 voice plan, but I feel like all of us will do that anyway, since the 29.99 plan is terrible.

You will not find this on the normal website. A customer service rep gave me this website and allowed me to purchase the 8800 (which I have and love) through them. THough it has not been announced, you can still use this offer by calling UShopWireless (or having them call you through the form online). It has cost me 119.99, and i get 100 dollars in rebates back in a few weeks. Even 119.99 is an amazing price, btw, as you T-mobile shoppers know. And there was even free 2-day shipping.

Bump away. I just left Cingular because of this offer. I hope others do the same, after the horrible experience I've had with that company.

i hope i'm not posting something that is well-known. i truly searched long and hard for a good deal on the 8800, and found nothing until this sort of accidental discovery.

I hope T-Mo has the coverage where you use the device. If not, even at that price, it's too expensive!

I'm in the Baltimore/Washington DC area at the moment--ton's of coverage and great EDGE speeds as well. I knew that would be the case--T-mo is great on the East Cost; but if you live in the boonies (aka Midwest) like my parents, it may not be as great.

I click on the link and it tells me that it is $99 with $99 in rebates plus they will pay the activation fee.

I just read through the FAQ on this offer and it states:
"Can I choose any rate plans?
This promotional offer is based on a voice plan of $39.99 or higher and a data add-on plan of $29.99 per month."

The $29.99 data rate plan is a BES plan not a BIS plan. What that means is that you will end up paying $60+ more for the 6 months you must maintain that plan than you would on a regular offer.

After checking T-Mobile's website, it is still a cheaper offer than directly through T-Mobile even after taking the difference in rate plan into consideration.

That is incorrect! Wow, you scared me for a minute. I thought the service rep misguided me, but he had not.

What's on the website is a typo of some kind--the 29.99 BES is not required. The phone that I was sent by these guys has the 39.99 voice plan (as expected) and the 19.99 BIS, not the more expensive BES plan. I just checked my T-mobile account and that is all I have.

So rest easy on that one--it's not 60 dollars more, and no 29.99 BES plan is forced upon you.

Cool. Glad it is a typo. Congrats on the deal.

It's $10 more if you only need BIS was Amigotek's point.
