Problem watching movies on my 8800

I cannot figure out what the issue is here so hopefully one of you can. I am having all kinds of problems trying to watch movies or videos on my 8800. I am using Cucusoft Ultimate DVD converter to convert the media into MP4 format and then saving the file to my 2gig Mini SD card using Roxio. Now this is where it gets weird, if I copy the entire movie (compressed to like 1/2 gig) the BB video player gets an error and wont even begin playing it. But if I only copy like the first couple of minuets of the movie (very small file ~6,000kb at the same compression settings as the full movie above) it plays it just fine. Is there some video size limitation that is causing this?

Also I would like to use the converter in Roxios media manager but its not including my SD card as part of the devices memory. As stated above I can move files to the card by enabling Mass Storage but it doesn't let me use Roxios media converter unless I have the tab"My Devices" selected.

Re: Problem watching movies on my 8800

Try this thread out +++By far THE easiest way to encode Videos as I am not a fan of the resource devouring Roxio Media Manager.

You can also skip using Desktop Manager all together.

options > advanced options > media card

    turn on media card support
turn on mass storage mode support
    turn on auto enable.

Now you can drag and drop files directly on to the BlackBerry as the your PC will now see it as an external harddrive similar to a jump drive.

Just put the Movies in your video folder on your BB.

welcome to Pinstack by the way!

I cant even begin to thank you enough, that program works nice. Although I get an error when I try to convert from a dvd but the "Quick Convert" option works perfect for movies I have already saved on my media server. And the movies also work on my wifes Treo, so shes all happy about that .
