Does anyone have the stock T-Mobile Messenger (OZ Instant Messaging) on their 8800?

Not only is it not on my device, there is no link on t-Zones to download it.

Re: OZ messenger on t-Mobile 880?

Are you referring to Blackberry messenger?

Unless it is different on the 8800, it is for PIN to PIN communications (Blackberry device to Blackberry device).

If you are referring to a different program, please post the URL for it.

    Thanks!!!

The 8800 doesnt come with IM client except for the bb messenger. The OZ IM client will be available for the 8800 09/24/07 on tmobile.com.

Do you know if there well be an OZ IM Client for those of us with unlocked 8300's on T-Mobile as well (unless it's already available for download). I don't see it on t-zones links.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~Im sorry for the misinformation, as of today for the 8830 that were purchased before today you have to register on the host routing table and the client should pop up on the main screen. The 8800 you have to also register on the host routing table and then go to the browser and you should have a link to install instant messaging.

Re: OZ messenger on t-Mobile 8800?

After three hours on the phone with T-Mobile Technical Support, we certainly tried that.

This is a T-Mobile branded 8800, and it's not part of the OS install (from DM), and there is no Link out on T-zones (even after deleting all the service books, re-registering) and having the provisioning server resend it all to the device).

Does anyone that has a T-Mobile branded device have OZ Instant messaging on their device?

Re: OZ messenger on t-Mobile 8800?

From my Tmo branded blackberry, I was able to go to the brower, under the folder "link" click on install instant messaging...and it gives you the option to download AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, and/or gtalk. Not sure if that uses data or text though. I've been using Jivetalk for months now and decided to download the AIM program last night to see how it works and i must say (in my opinion...) it is just as crappy as OZ messenger...

Re: OZ messenger on t-Mobile 8800?

I agree with llama...I used to use OZ messenger and it's just awful. sending and receiving messages isn't real time/instant, and it doesn't show me all the buddies i have on my buddy list. i think it showed 30 out of 100+? unless they've changed it, i definitely wouldn't use it. i have jivetalk as well and it's definitely the best i've ever used (with all the ones i've tried with my treo and now blackberry)...
