    overheating 8820

    I recently acquired a T-Mobile 8820.
I have it setup to automatically connect to my wi-fi @ home.
Last night I accidentally fell asleep on it and when I awoke 6hrs later the device was extremely hot.
I have fallen asleep on my 8800 many times before and it has never gotten warm.
    Has anyone experienced this phenomena?
It device was connected to my wi-fi the entire time, so I attribute that extra warmth to that.

That's funny u say it doesn't have "jack". Cuz it has the 3.5mm headphone jack that I want lol
My iPod was stolen and I don't wanna spend another $300.

Trinybwoy I am sorry to here that your device is overheated. I would suggest you pay close attention to it through out the day and tonight. To see if the issue duplicates itself and if so. You just might have a defective device and would want to go exchange it out at the store before your exchange grace period runs out. Btw your a bigg dog now with that 8820. That's how we do!~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

My 8120 has never overheated with WiFi on or off. I'll have to test it tonight and see what happens.

Same here....I use my 8820 daily without fail and it has never over heated. As a matter of fact I have also drifted off to sleep with my wi-fi on over night and it didn't over heat.

I know that phones will get warm, but should not get uncomfortably warm or hot. sounds like the device is defective, if the problem persists, kyou should trade it out!
