    Opera Problem

    Hi

i downloaded the opera mini browser today. however when i try and start the application it crashes after staying on the loading screen for a while.

is the opera mini not meant to run on a 8800 ?

    Thanks

it should run fine. from mini.opera.com from your BB browser note no www.
does it connect or give an error?
have you set your APN? you will need to set that
    options>advanced options>TCP
these are the settings by carrier

didn't see optus so here is another link

    Re: Opera Problem

just reinstalled the browser, acording to the carrier settings for optus i dont really have to fill anything into the tcp settings, and i cant add the gateway ip adress.

opera still crashes. just keeps staying on the loading screen for ages.

I wish I knew more about optus, all of the info that I can offer is that I know on my 8800 (t-mobile US) it won't work without having the apn changed.. Sorry I can't help you out anymore : (

thats not whats wrong, what os are you using? the cingular and tmobile os will let you run opera. if you are running the the newest rogers os, opera will not run. its a problem with the os.

Welcome Dmuench, to check what version OS youre running, go into options>about
and you will find the OS and platform version
By the way are you on a BIS or BES server?
