I just got my 8800 exchanged 2day and i popped in the unregistered CINGUALR sim just until i backed up my current 8800 and when i went in 2 "mobile provider" it listed T-MOBILE as the current network.Once i put in my regular sim it took away a lot of the settings and changed 2 cingular as the provider.I'm just wondering if this means anything????

Could be that cingular's coverage on that area is poor or non-existen so it was roaming on tmobile

You don't need the SIM to do a backup. Use Desktop Manager 4.2 SP1's Switch Device Wizard - it makes the migration painless!
