Music, videos, etc. on sd card

I just bought a microsd card and when I turned on the bb, it said
"A media card has been inserted that contains errors. to correct errors, please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer."
then after that, it asks for mass storage mode(I searched to figure what this was)

    What my question is..

What kind of media program can my bb8800 use?
So far, I was sent a video that was MOV(quicktime) via bluetooth and it works flawlessly.
Then I was trying to put on a wmv file and everytime I tried to watch it on the bb, it said it was the wrong kind of media file.

    I don't have a video converter, so I can't do that.

Also, is there a menu where I can look at all files that's in my phone and sd card seperately? Like a desktop's My Computer.

    And 2 more questions..

How do I know if it's being sent to my phone or sd card?

Whenever I try to transfer a file, it says there's a limit to the file's size(file can't exceed 2.5-mb) even though I changed to the Device Memory Limit to 25mb.

*edit* I just remembered the media card option in the menu and it said
Media card cannotbe read. Verify that the memory card is formatted.

I don't know what this means, so any help with that would be great.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Insert your card and then goto options on your blackberry. Then select advanced options, then media card. In there you can select "format card".
    Try that.

Has to be formatted to FAT. Not FAT32 or NTFS. That fixed my problem.

There's an app called Blackberry Video (or something along those lines) that will convert videos for you. I highly recommend it.

That's precisely what Mass Storage Mode is for when connected to your PC. The memory card will show up as a removable drive if you enable it.

When saving on the BB itself it should ask you where you want to store the file. In Mass Storage Mode you only have access to the microSD card.

Not true. It will play avi files, they just need to be encoded with h.263 (why RIM still hasn't enabled h.264 decoding yet is a mystery...).

[edit]Wanted to add that I've been using BB Video for a few days to convert some videos for playback on my 8800, and asides from the lack of a batch function (makes converting a 50 episode series kinda tedious), it's been fine. [/edit]

It doesn't record video. Get over it.

Really? You might want to inform RIM then...
