I'm with u Moses, the article is lame. I would expect the author to give a better expose given he had the use of it for at least a week. Shame on you "tech journalist"!!!!!!

props on the article. I disagree with some of you guys. The author is trying to give a balanced view of the 8800 and included most of the important features. However, because we are accustomed to more info for our bb's it doesnt seem like it was enough

I find most short term reviews to be pretty useless. They generally tend to point out features that you could have read about in sales literature. It's the real world use and comments/ideas/suggestions that people post on these forums that really provide useful info.

Could be that we are spoilt, and hence we expect more and then all there are out there about the bb. That's not bad is it?

Re: MSNBC Reports on the 8800

For all you “CrackBerry” addicts I must warn you at the outset that the 8800 is different from any other . It’s the first one without a thumbwheel. The experts at RIM, seeing the success of the Pearl and its little trackball, decided that their new model didn’t need an ancient-style navigation device. Don’t worry; you’ll get used to the new system within an hour.
    isn't this incorrect?
