    Hello,

    I just got my BB8800 and was under the impression from a friend that I should be able to open excel and work documents without the need to add any software.

    Two questions for everyone;
    1) Is this true? and if so why can I not open these files

    2) If not true, is there a good free software available anywhere for this?

    Thank you!

    Yes, you should be able to view if they are emailed to you as attachments. You would need Blackberry Attachment Service installed.

    E office but it costs $99...or you can wait for the new OS 4.5 which which has documents to go. Docs to go is free and comes standard with OS 4.5.

    Where did you find Gridmagic for free?
    The only one that I could find was at: www.handango.com and the Standard version is $19.95 with the Professional version $49.95.

    Search for the community edition. Either that or download a trial of the standard, and there should be an option in it to switch to community edition.
