Messages and Email
So this is more of a pet peeve than a problem but there has to be a way to fix it. I set up my gmail to my device and told it to separate my sms and my email. Well all of a sudden a new icon pops up that is for sms and mms and then there is the one for email, which is fine, but the other original icon for my messages is still there and for some reason collects all of my emails and my messages in there as well and I would like to find a way to get rid of that rather than just hiding it.
Messages folder will allways be there and will allways collect all of your emails, however if you have set SMS and Email Inboxes to Seperate and have the SMS Inbox on your desktop (and it is receiving texts?) your text messages should NOT be appearing in your messages folder.
What theme are you using? Also shut down your device, pull the battery out, then restart and see if that helps?
I have shut down and done a battery pull. All messages appear in the standard messages folder (SMS, MMS, Email) and then SMS and MMS appear in the new icon for the SMS and MMS, and then the Email goes to the email, as well as the default messages icon.
I am using the standard BB Dimension Zen Theme. And have it set to seperate and not to leave it up to the theme.
Thats just not right ...you dont have any BCC or delivery reports enabled do you?
Just for fun try changing themes...
nope no reports ( i assume you mean read reciept, delivery reciept etc) but I switched themes and it wasn't there so now i'm really lost as to why it does that...
