    Media Card

Just got a BB 8800 and I took the media card out of my BB Pearl and put it in the 8800, the files won't show. When I put it back it the Pearl, they show fine. When I connect to desktop manager, the card shows and so do the files but they won't open on the phone. What am I doing wrong?

Hey Rich, does the 8800 see the memory card at all?

perhaps the pearl has a different way of reading or writing the files to memory. Which leads me to ask, what sort of files are in the card?

if the 8800 is docked onto the USB to the computer, it will not under any circumstances allow you to view anything on the media card. Infact, you wont see the media card at all.

When the 8800 is conected to the computer via USB, desktop manager shows "device memory" and "media card". When I click on media card, all the files open up just the way they should but when I try to open them on the phone it just goes to "UP".

well, the .3pg files were formated for 240x320(pearl) display. but your images should work.

your 8800 is 320x240, could be the reason.
