    Mass Storage Mode basics

Just wondering---when I plug in my 8800 to my Mac with a USB cord a little message pops up that says: "Do you want to turn on Mass Storage Mode? You might not be able to access some media files in this mode." Then you can choose yes or no.

What's the difference? I know that previously I have alternated btwn both yes and no but sometimes it would result in my blackberry not being found (through PocketMac Pro).

enabling mass storage mode allows you (i think) to be able to use it not only as a media card, but also a flash drive. if you have it plugged in to the usb, you won't be able to 'access' the files from the bb, but from the pc/mac instead

Hello there, I get this message too and also, have been unable to transfer music to my new 8100, so would appreciate any advice out there.
    Cheers Sandy
