How do you separate email boxes?

    Hi,
I just received my 8800 and have it configured by my company to access Lotus notes. I also configured it to check my home email via POP3. My frustration lies in the fact that both types of email show up in the "desktop" email box so my work stuff is mixed with my home email. Is there any way to separate the two? I have a separate email icon on my desktop for my home email, and it does populate there, but it also shows up in the company mailbox.

Thanks in advance for any help - I have been unable to find the answer to this specific question anywhere.

    Chris W.

Re: How do you separate email boxes?

These are not separate mail boxes, there is one message app all messages go there. The icon for your additional BIS email account is just a shortcut to the message list with a preset filter to show only the messages from that account. There is not one for the BES account. You can create a shortcut activated filter to show only the BES messages from the message list but not an icon based one yet.

    Hope this helps.

Message app/menu/search. Set up the settings, to get your work messages I believe it would be Service = Desktop but it might be BES. Save, assign a name and a shortcut key. And save again.

Now when you get into the message App use ALT + the shortcut key you assigned to apply the filter.

    Hope this helps.

I did it - works perfectly - thanks a bunch. I love forums - it's much better than any tech support!

Good tip, but how do I go in and edit that shortcut filter? For example, what if I wanted to change the shortcut key? I'm having trouble getting to an edit screen.
