    Re: Format Media Card

assuming you are going options/media card
then click menu and choose format card?

just want to find out how you are formatting...

with my new card for the curve, i put it in and let it sync with the new DM and it formatted on it own...

    Re: Format Media Card

I had similar issues when I got my SanDisk 2GB. Eventually I believe it just worked.

I may have also formatted it in the computer, I don't remember. Basically my problem was the card would corrupt. You need an SD card reader to format the card from the computer directly.

    Smile Re: Format Media Card

I recently picked up the BB 8830. I was frustrated as well. I solved the media card formatting problem by formatting the Micro SD on a Windows XP computer. I formatted the Micro SD card using FAT 32. Be sure to turn off media card services before installing the card. Install the card then turn on media card services and your card should register. Hope this helps

    Re: Format Media Card

It is a well known fact that you should format the media cards in the computer and not inthe phone or camera. If you do that after a while the card renders itself corrupt.

Assuming your PC has a card reader, go to the desktop/laptop route. I have had little luck with going the handheld route.
