    Question E-Mail forwarding, help pls!

Ok I have no idea if I am posting in the right area but I hope so! I got my 8800 about 3 weeks ago and immediatly set up my E-mail accounts. They work fine and all with sending new messages to my device but I was wondering how to send messages that I recieved before I had this device, to it. So basically forwarding the rest of the messages that I already have in my inbox, to my device(without sending them to someone and having them send it back to me) Looking this up in the manual, it tells me the following:

Forward messages from a specific email message folder to your device
Verify that your BlackBerry® device is associated with an email account that uses BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.0 or later.
    1. In a message list, press the Menu key.
    2. Click Options.
    3. Click Email Settings.
    4. Press the Menu key.
    5. Click Folder Redirection.
    6. Select the check box beside an email message folder.
    7. Press the Menu key.

The problem is that when you go into "Options" there is no "Email settings" there. I tried the other two that do appear but there is no option there for this. Any help you guys can send my way would be great! Thanks!

Hello, are you set up on BIS or BES? That will help determine how it will be done.

they are trying to ask...did you sign up for a personal data plan with blackberry and set up all your emails via the cingular BIS website or did you go the hosted route and have either your company or a third party host your email... does that make sense?

Yes, I went through cingular to set up my E-mail. If it's any help, I'm trying to do this with an @AIM.com E-mail account. Thanks again for the help, guys.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Re: E-Mail forwarding, help pls!

If you're forwarding old email then the steps you originally posted are irrelevant. You just need to forward old messages to your BB -- either via your *.blackberry.net address or via the email address you've integrated with BIS.

The steps in red above are for when you want to redirect subfolders to your BB which only applies to BES users. In your case it's not relevant for that reason either.
