    dust behind speaker cover

I have begun to see a little bit of dust behind the speaker cover and in the earpiece cover.

Any ideas of how to get it out? Compressed air maybe?

my guess is compressed air, but be careful! blow off to the sides and a light spray, not all at once!
you don't want to damage the speaker

Yeah that was my best guess too. Thanks for the response.

I just want to make sure that is the best way to do it.

i dont reccomend the compressed air i did that to my 8700. and from that point on all i heard was static threw the hand set. i think i blew out the speaker or something when i did it. thank god they replaced it for nothing (factory defect) they called it. but not worth the hassle

Don't use compressed air! Very easy to puncture the speaker's diaphragm.

Camera accessories - manual blower with a little brush on the end.

I had dust gathering in the area also, andafter much debate....I got the small soft brisselled brush that came with my shaving clippers. I swept it out- worked perfectly. I think that we should suggest that blackberry or some other source develop a brush But try that!!!
