Yeah they have to be in a format that the bb will recognize or else they will not show up.

    Hi
One suggestion I can make is that you format your SD card clean and transfer the files again making sure that they are in BB's correct format and size. i had this problem with my videos and had to convert them all. Cheers

Are you still connected to the USB port when you are checking to see the files?

any ideas on how to create a new folder on the sd card that the BB can see? When I make them, the phone doesnt see it or the contents, but windows explorer does.

I do it when i'm on the fly and use the BB, works great.
    never tried from the DM
it has to be a sub folder, pics, music etc.
open the folder hit menu then create folder

    hope this helps

Re: Can't See The Files I Put In My Sd Card

well if you have your phone plugged in to your computer then you wont be able to see anything on the media card from your phone. If you don't have your files in the proper folders
    pictures in pictures
    music in music
    videos in videos
then you won't be able to view them. if your card has been formatted then when you load your media on the card you will have the option of saving your media to a specific folder. music, ringtones, videos, and pictures. if you don't have that option when loading your media onto your card then you woud have to reformat.

However, if you do have those folder options on your media card then there is a possibility that the files aren't in the proper format that the card can read. for instance. Audio files that I know work on the pearl or .m4a, and mp3. video files omse .3gp, most .avi, and some .mp4 works fine. so find out what type of files youare loading on your deivce. i hope that helps some.

the preset folders are there, music, videos, and pictures work fine. I wanted to create a new folder on the card for wallpapers instead of having them with my pictures.

I think I know how to do it, go to my computer when you have it hooked up and open the external hardrive bay icon. open the blackberry folder then create a new folder in there. I do not know if that will work or not, you might need flash card reader thingy from the site. I did not format my card when I put songs on. Just also got to make sure to unplug it when you want to look at the files, I did that once to and freaked. I also made new folders in my music files to sperate th artists.

This worked. Now my pictures and wallpapers are in solo folders. Two up for you!
