Question Can I transfer all my info from my 8700 to my 8800?

I'm sorry if this is off topic or has been asked already (I searched but didn't come up with anything except transferring data from non BBs to BB). I have an 8700V and want to swap my information (Memo Pad, Calender, contacts, etc) to my 8800 when I get it. Is this possible?

Yes. It's quite easy. Best method is to install the latest desktop manager downloaded from the blackberry desktop software webpage. Then use the swap device feature included

    Hope this helps.

I transfered my 8703 to my 8830 by soimply backing up my 8703 then restoring my 8830. Got all my files, bookmarks, address. Real simple

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~rcbjr is right, I do it all the time with no problems. It moves everything! Programs and all, now if only microsoft would come out with something like it, for windows(non mobile), that actually worked, life would be great! But I guess we can only dream!

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com) I installed the new desktop software that came with my 8830 and used the switch device option. I only had one flaw which was easily fixed. My internet browser icon disappearred and I was not able to access the internet through the bb browser. Opera mini seemed to work. I contacted Verizon tech support and they resent my service books and voila internet access was enabled and my icon was back on bb. For the record this was from 8703e to 8830

It's even easier with BES since an EA handles all this...

Re: Can I transfer all my info from my 8700 to my 8800?

Sweet! Thanx for all the suggestions guys! I synced all my calendar/memo pad/ address book with outlook (still waiting on delivery of my 8800) so I could re-sync it later, but was still stumped on all the data I had in Password Keeper. So the "swap device" option should transfer that all over as well? Unfortunately I have my BB for personal use so I'm not on BES through work (the only other guy with a BB is the CEO, and that's a 7xxx, one of those older blue ones with the monochrome screen). Thanx again guys I'll give the swap device a shot when I get my new BB!
