Sorry, there aren't any maps softwares for the BB that don't use data. If you want maps then your only option is to plop down the cash for a data plan.

Actually I recently downloaded mapping software that also provides verbal routing instructions. There is an initial fee to buy the software but no additional costs thereafter. It is great for driving directions.

You can download a trial version from the Wayfinder website.

I thought you had to have a dataplan for the map software, as it is constantly looking for the next map section as you are moving.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~you have to have a data plan to use mapping apps. Those who are using bb maps without a data plan watch you next month's bill for casual internet use!

i would like a map pack or something with BB Maps .. so all the maps are already on my blackberry .. trying to use GPS is just way too slow .. you'd have to stop and wait for a minute for it to download the next map .. thats annoying

Re: Can Anyone Help Me Get Maps Without a Data Plan?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~there is simply not enough memory on the phone to have US maps. Heck you would need an entire dvd just for N.A. Now you could have specific maps copied to your bb from your computer. But you would only have access to the map copied onto the bb.

Better check your cell bill my friend...

Wayfinder still requires a data connection for map downloads. The software you downloaded was the application that displays the maps etc. Maps are still downloaded via the network upon request.
