| Re: RIM's BlackBerry 8800 Specs & Details
i was used to the treo for awhile so i know about a cramped keyboard i think as long as the buttons are flattened out it shouldnt be too bad, the 650 keyboard had the bubble keys and was cramped, was a pain, the 700 has the flattened keys and is still cramped but easier to use IMO, but i do like the keyboard on the 87xx

I have my BB Pearl for 6weeks now, I vote for the trackball compared to the wheel. In my opinion, navigation is a breeze.

Then I have the peace of mind knowing that it will be the latest gear for at least 26 days..... Day 27 comes the announcement that the new "smaller_thinner_better_faster_neater" replacement model will be out shortly. Furthermore it will sell for: $50 to $1,000 < LESS > Than I just paid for the "now" obsolete: slower_crashing_unreliable_battery draining_ver1.0_device. Oh Yeah...... the price of bleeding edge fun ! |

one thing it lacks, and that's a 2.0 or higher mp camera which will be the icing of the cake. phone cameras are important specially to people that use blackberries, and the mp's do matter.

To clear this spec hiccup up. "Possible on some versions of the 8800 (Camera - 1.3 mp, 5x digital zoom, flash and maybe even video recording)" This is not a possibility with the 8800 series devices. The razor design with camera will continue in the suretype arena. The camera for the enterprise may possibly come in later series devices, this is the same for video recording capabilities. |

smarschany, icebun and tiggerminsha, Welcome to PinStack. tiggerminsha, that's a pretty strong statement. Are your sources any better that the other's that say it's a strong possiblility? Rcbjr |

October 2007? Hm, I hope you are wrong sdsand ![]() This BB really rocks !! Depending on the money I will have when it will be out, I will buy it as soon as it's out or wait we can find it on ebay... The wifi, the multimedia player and the mini SD and a thinger design is the only thing missing to the 8700! And the trackball... hmm... well I've play to few games on my 8700 and you often wonder how you do for left/right, then you realise you have to type some letters... that's not very conveninent... same for webbrowsing I guess! Really, i can't wait this phone to be out! |

any assumption as to what it may cost? I just picked up a pearl, looks like I'll have to get rid of that bad boy when this comes out.
