I bought the 8700g the first week Tmobile dropped it. I had been waiting patiently for months for it to come over to Tmobile from the UK, but man, this 8800 is SWEET. I have to admit. If Tmobile gets this device, I'll be upgrading. I love the fact that they added the expandable memory. That was something I wished the 8700 had. According to the Boy Genuius report the 8800 Crimson will have the camera. I really hope that is true.

i was just wondering, when blackberry says that the 8800 will be able to play video, any word on what kind of media it will support? will it be able to play flash? it would be so awesome to browse video sites like youtube on the blackberry. today i just saw the DASH at t-mobile. it seems pretty awesome but i cant stand windows mobile.

I've heard that the trackball on the pearl has been giving people trouble. I'm pretty sure that RIM will fix the issues with the trackball making the 8800 the most wanted smart phone... I want

ive never used a pearl so i dont now how the trackball is but im just wondering if people are liking it better than the wheel..i switched from a pocket pc that was touch screen (hated, thought i would love it though) but the wheel is sooo much easier...what about the trackball?

I dont know if i can post links on here so someone let me know if im not allowed to. But the 8800 will be released in Oct. of next year and it will have walkie talkie for Sprint/Nextel! there are some post on other sites that tell all about it but again i dont wanna post anything im not allowed to. And the CDMA version is "supposed" to be the silver colored one.

how much wider is the 8800 than the Pearl would you say? I love my Pearl, but this 8800 looks pretty good and might make web browsing easier.... if its not that much wider, or thicker, I might have to give the Pearl to my son and get the 8800.....

I have the Pearl, and I love the trackball... once you get use to the sensitivity of it, its not a problem.... it almost seems like the natural thing to have on the phone.... so far mine has given me no problems....

you can always adjust the sensitivity too i love the trackball, too.

I tried a pearl out this weekend. I really liked it once I got used to the differences. The trackball is nice. I am still going to wait for the 8800 though.

such a sweet looking phone. and is expected to work with the Tmobile Hotspot WiFi@ Home service. Look it up if you have tmobile and a blackberry. might look to come in handy.

Kinda mad i just bought my 8100 pearl and now this beast is coming out. hmm. Pretty saweet!
