If you're going to sell it, be sure to delete your email accounts in BIS and have your BIS account deleted as well.

check surewipe out at www.mobylo.com OTA: http://m.mobylo.com
"Mobylo! presents for the first time on BlackBerry, a product that allows you to force delete otherwise un-removable applications. SureWipe fishes out modules from your device that you don't want, but didn't know how to get rid off. It shows you a list of modules it finds on your device and their details - how much space it is using up, when it was installed, who the vendor is and so on. And gives you the option to delete each one of them - even those that you could not delete from Applications, Modules or the Desktop Manager! So if you see a module that you don't want on your device, simply hit Delete."

Re: Best Way To A Complete Wipe Like Formatting 8800

i switched devices today, and just to be double sure that no one who receives my old one will be able to receive my email - I have to ask...

background: i set up my gmail acct. through bis and also set up an @vzw.blackberry.com address

what i did today: a hard reset on the old device, and i went to the blackberry.com/go/vzw site, signed in, and changed devices using the PIN and the ESN....

my question: am i totally covered to make sure that none of my emails, bbmessenger messages, gtalk messages, etc. are going to my old device?

    Hello,

It will take it out of your service books but it is always good to delete it from your BIS account too (thru PC; i know i would) or you could do it from you BB by clicking on "personal email set up".

Hope this helps, if not just reply back.
