I thought I remember seeing that error when I was looking at too large an area. Like when it first starts and you are looking at Noth America. Did you try entering your addresss so it zooms in closer?

Pretty much have to have a clear shot to the sky, even then, it's slow to respond. I wouldn't use it as a primary navigation system, but rather as a backup when traveling, or walking around somewhere.

I agree about the delay but its pretty good at telling you things like road name speed direction and location on the map its fine at sixty mph any faster and the exits are not accessable. but other then that its working on a very old set
    With little memory

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I gave up on BB maps cause it shows me the wrong info. I posted a couple of days ago about this but I found no fix. I tried google maps and its accurate but a bit slower. I'm not sure about the GPS part since I am using an 8100. Good luck

Did you buy a Bluetooth GPS puck?

Telenav works really well for me. The odd thing is that BBmaps obviously uses the same hardware but it frequently gets "stuck" or can't get a fix. I really don't bother with it anymore.
