BBMaps will never work without data, but have fun trying The hacks to make BB maps work on ATT is because ATT wants users to pay for their ATT navigation/telenav so they didn't allow the free BBMaps. The hack gives ATT users the ability to use BBMaps but still requires a data plan in order to push the maps to the phone. It is impossible for your BlackBerry to work as a stand alone GPS with maps without data.

I love to use BBMaps, but since AT&T locks this on there phones here's an OTA you can use on any BB device. Don't remember where I found it but it works great. It's an auto launcher for BBMaps. Enjoy.

By the way. You can use BBMaps without a data plan. The only problem is you'll have to rob a bank to pay the data charge. It will auto connect and DL. Standard rates apply.

My bad. Thought that's why they have the standard rates apply clause from BBmaps and Google.

That's for those who don't have unlimited data, some people, depending on location, can have plans with caps as low as 50mb

I am using a BB Torch 9800 from ATT and couldn't figure out why BB Maps did not have an icon on the phone, yet it was in the applications list. So did a search on Pinstack and the answer of course is in this thread, ATT wants to make money out of us, but the guys here provide a launcher for the free application. Brilliant!!!! I use Google Maps but it's nice to have other options. Thank you guys!!

Should've asked, Dave. I coulda toldja that saving you the search. I've already saved a copy of that .jad file in DropBox for future reference.

I was going to ask you Roger, but I thought I would just check first. I am sure that there are a lot of frustrated people out there using ATT without BB Maps.
