    Backlight Not Cooperating Part II

Here is what my Screen/Keyboard options look like:

    Backlight Brightness: 100
    Backlight Timeout: 45
    Automatic Backlight: Off
    LED Coverage Indicator: Off

I have an 8830 and this stupid auto-dim continues to kick in. When I come back from stand-by it is still not optimally bright. I have to hit the power button again to get it bright. What am I doing wrong and why does this auto-dim continue to happen?

    Thanks.

try a battery pull or it may be a os issue or the sensor might be dirty

Off topic, and not answering your question. But why do you want to disable the auto-dim? It's my favorite feature of the BB.
It wouldn't be a dirty sensor, as it's disabled in the settings, so the sensor shouldn't even be active. It's a software issue. Try a hard reset\flashing it?
