AT&T/8820 "Call failed" issues
I am running OS 188.8.131.52 (an official release, not a beta) on my AT&T 8820. Lately I've had more and more failed or dropped calls than ever. I don't know if this is an OS issue, a problem with one or many of the programs I've installed on my phone or a network issue (I understand that the iPhone problems may in fact be network & not hardware related).
I have tried pulling the battery, but that doesn't seem to have an effect.
Has anyone else been having issues making or receiving calls with this phone/OS/network?
I have the same phone provider, and software, but it is the less used of my 2 BB's and I have noticed the same thing ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
I think it may be network related but am not for sure??
Its the first time I have used an unlocked phone on ATT so Idk.

I have been having the same issues the last couple of days! I have dropped probably 10 calls over the last two days... However, I did talk to a buddy that has AT&T and he has had network issues too. He doesn't have a BB and hasn't seen dropped calls, just other random network issues.
I am also convinced that all of the phones I have had with ATT have gotten progressively worse the longer I have had them. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
The "official" OS 4.5 release that you have isn't an ATT software release as they have not released it yet. So it could be the software. But I agree that it is more likely a network issue. Have you spoken to other ATT users where you are to see if they are having the same issue? That would be the best place to start rather than asking about other (far away) locations.
