got it from my AT&T rep. The wi-fi flies on my home network, although it's having issues on the wireless network at work.

I have been using for about six weeks on the at&t network and have connected to work and home networks on Wi-Fi. I have even used the VPN with RSA security to connect to the BES over Wi-Fi from home network. This morning when we had the EDGE/GPRS outage I was still getting corporate email from the BES over Wi-Fi at home!!! This device is pretty sweet......

    Re: 8820

So it has a section for wifi browsing in the browser config and spell check.

What else does it have by virtue of the newer OS? It would be really nice to hear someone report something other than "THIS R0XZ0RZ!!!!!! lolololol" or repeat the tiny crumb of information that has already been beaten to death.

What additional functionality is in the phone? So far, the only new information I've gotten out of this thread was that the GPS accquires satellites faster. I'd like to give points for that being something we don't already know, but that isn't earthshattering on its own.

Is there anything different about the media player, specifically if it can handle playing video in full screen?

Are there any new bluetooth profiles other than ADP2 (Or whatever it is for stereo headphones)?

    Re: 8820

Got my 8820 yesterday and it's my first BB. Got a Curve for my wife and a Blackjack for my son.

I loaded Telenav and I'm pretty pleased with it. I heard that telenav can run slow without 3G available but it works reasonably well and names specific streets and exits. It finds cheapest gas in the area or restraunts/stores by name. Very happy so far.
Wifi works well but not quite as quick as I expected but I've never had another bb to compare to.
