Thank GOD Tmo is getting you guys to test it. Is there any word on the one with the camera, or even a possible price tag for these babies
Not heard anything about the camera, but i'd be surprised if they launch it with one. They might launch one with and one without, but i doubt it. It's a business device after all.

No idea on the price sorry, not my field.

I don't think this will be stopping with me for any more than the rest of the day sadly, but first impressions are good.

Without even seeing it I'd say there's no way based on history.

Re: 8800 in my hand

I am sure there are lots of things everyone wants to know - me too! By big beef with the 8100 is the lack of A2DP and the email client. So.......

Can you determine what bluetooth profiles are available?

Are you able to test the unit to see if media files can be played if attached to an email?

And, how does it handle wifi and cell data connections? Does the data connection get turned off or are both on all the time?

Thanks.

From what I have heard, the camera version is still a go. As for price, numbers being thrown around right now vary from $499-$549.

Thanks.
You have the ability to turn WiFi on and off via an icon, similar as to how you have the ability right now to turn wireless on and off.

Depends...If you HAVE to trade, sure, go for it...But if you want the camera, then wait for the cam verison...

Or if you don't NEED to trade in, just wait for year for the latter version (rumored to be the 9k series). From what I have heard, it's going to be tons better than the 8800 actually.

You are so lucky. I wish that I could check it out before it hits the market.

Not going to see a whole lot of photos surface until closer to launch time.

After all the leaked pictures of the Pearl, RIM is just waiting to find someone to hang for leaking pictures (the reason why most pictures never show an actual person or recognizeable information).

Remember, RIM knows who the test units go out to, so it's not too terribly hard to track down leaked photos unless the person is somewhat smart about doing so.

RIM verifies someone who signed a NDA leaked photos, and it's their head and/or their companys head on the chopping block.

Let's take the good ole pearl for an example on this one...

Holster? Case? What are those?
