    8800 GSM???

    i have an 8900 and my brother has an 8800. mine is on EDGE network and his is on GSM. since the 8800 is a world phone i was wondering if thats how it should be or if its sum kind of problem [being on GSM]. can sumone plz clarify this for me.


    his phone was given to me and so i gave it to him. i dont think it has been updated...does anyone know or have the link of a recent OS update of an 8800 on AT&T?

    so is GSM normal on an 8800, while using it for normal use (no international calls)?

    I thought EDGE means you have data and GSM/edge means you have no data.

    Its all is the case. CAPS means data, lower case means no data. If he's got CAPs on GSM then it just means he's not recieving EDGE service. If it's lower case then he doesn't have a data plan.
