    8700 vs 8800

Ok, this is for anyone who has upgraded from an 8700 to an 8800.

    Was it worth it?

I am considering it just for the trackball and the memory card abilities.

I bought an 8700g and then my wife wanted a Pearl so I got her that and now every time I use the trackball I'm like. . .ugh, thats nice.

I'm also awaiting the Curve for TMO. . . .

    thoughts, ideas?

If you need GPS go for it NOW.
If you need a camera & wifi go for the curve.

i have 2 phone lines and carry the 8700 and the 8800 and use both throughout the day....both awesome phones and while i will never bring myself to get rid of my 8700, it doesnt really hold a candle to the 8800 and its abilities....defintiely getting the 8820 when it comes out!

    Re: 8700 vs 8800

I agree with salvatoretri. I upgraded from the 8700g to the 8800 a couple months ago and I love it. Major koos for me are:

    1. more slim and sleek feel (8700g is kinda chunky)
    2. I absolutely love the trackball (I thought I would hate)
    3. In the address book I can set up text message groups (it's a big deal for me)
    4. MicroSD is a hige plus

    Just my 2cents.
