I never had software problems out of my 7100 series. Only trackwheel, power button defects, and the internal radio signal stopped working on one of them.

Other than that, no crashes or anything. I regret not getting another 7105t.
Once you get a 71xx initialized, it worked great. Problem was that every time there was a battery pull (cold boot) or a theme change, it took f-o-r-e-v-e-r to load everything. Immediately after a theme change, if you click on the Calculator icon, there would be a spinning hourglass for 45 seconds or longer before it would open! It would drive me crazy because I love to play with/switch themes alot. However, you're right, after it gets completely booted-up (after, say, 30 minutes or so) it could run with the pack! If you're not a "Theme Changer" or an obsessive "Battery Puller" it was a good BB.

8700c, which has been handed down to my 80 year old father whom plugs away with PINS. Of course, it is turbo charged, compliments of the stackers.

    I am new. 8330.
Clearly they don't make them like they used to.
I would love to see a current unit made like the OLD Motorola pagers. They were heavy duty and did not need a case.
The 8330 I have I figure would shatter with a drop onto the ground. Mine is cased... Like it or not
