Are you kidding me? Of course I wouldn't. If I did for any crazy reason I would have a change of peronslity.

Love my pearl too much... Have seriously considered making the upgrade to the Curve though!!!
Knowing me, I'll prob make the purchase and then return it before the 30 days are up!
I think the third party app support for the iphone will beat out third party apps for the blackberry in 2 years. Which would be one reason for me to switch.
NO! RIM for life son!

No, ill trade my 7290 for a curve when possible
Kid's toy. No way. But it is one H**L of a toy. Great second phone.
No. I've been getting to play with the iPhone at work (several ppl at our job are proud owners) and it just doesn't bring enough to the table for me. The interface is one of the smoothest I've ever seen and a very short learning curve to master it, but it's too feature light for my tastes. For that much money I would expect it to do everything my blackberry could and more, not less.
The iPhone is yet to reach UK shores, but I'm pretty certain it'd be a big no.
I'm quite happy with my iPod and phone being seperate and using my blu eye:
Thats funny, because the iphone is the reason why my wife and i upgraded to the blackberry. She wanted an iphone, and i checked out the features it had(pros and cons). Due to the fact that we are under nextel, and she wanted to keep up with her emails when shes on the go, the blackberry was the best choice. We love it now, it does exactly what we want it to do. Im still schooling her on all the features it has. Also, i have a 30gb ipod that i rarely touch today.

That's actually one of the problems with the iPhone. Apple has not released a SDK and right now claims not to have any plans to release one.Originally Posted by mobilekid
That means ONLY online apps, NO apps. you can install on the device!
That seems pretty limiting, to me.
I like my Pearl way too much to ever give it up for an iPhone. I like getting e-mail as soon as it's sent to my account and not having to wait 15 minutes. I like typing out SMS and e-mail one handed (sometimes while driving.) I like being able to use my BB as a tethered modem, especially when I take the four hour bus ride from Boston to NYC. I like not being stuck with Cingular, aka the only cellular network I've ever seen drop a call in Harvard Square.
In the iPhone's defense, it is a nice looking piece of personal electronics with an integrated web browser and media player. On the other hand, don't I already have something like that?
i will preface this by saying that i am a huge apple fan, so i am openly biased towards all things apple.
and i would trade my pearl for an iphone because:
- iPod replacement, i know i can get a larger sd card for my pearl, but seriously?
- allthough there are several problems with the iPhone, a vast majority of them can be "fixed" with software updates only (ringtone issue, 3rd party apps, etc.), which wouldn't require anyone to buy a newer iPhone, just apple releasing new software with new functionality
- they are beautiful
that being said, i love my bb, and don't plan to get rid of it any time soon!
