Wireless Coverage Notification? On or Off

I've had my Pearl now for about three or four weeks. I thought I had just about every conceivable setting set up to my preference.

If you've been using a blackberry for a while, you may have forgotten that there are a TON of options on these things!

Anyway, when you first purchase a Pearl, the wireless coverage notification (green led) is set to off.

I didn't really give it any thought, so I'd see blue LED when the Pearl was paired with my bluetooth headset, and a flashing red LED when a message came in.

NOW... I'm trying to decide if I want the green LED advising me of wireless coverage.

Do most of you have yours set to on? Do you think it adds to battery drain, or is it minimal?

Just wondering how other people have their Blackberry's set.

    Thanks

it's minimal on the battery. Only reason I can imagine using it is if you're frequently in and out of network coverage. If you always have coverage, then I wouldn't bother with it. It's just another blinking light.

I leave mine on as the building I work in has spotty coverage. I even picked my office and conference room seat based on BB coverage.

I leave mine off, it's pretty bright so at night that would bug me. Now if there was an application that could make it turn off when the blackberry is plugged in, that would be great.

I always turn mine off. I'm almost always in coverage so I don't need to see it.

I always have left mine off. I have issues sleeping with the blinking light on and there is no way that I am going to leave my BB by itself at night.

I have mine on. At home, I generally spend most of my time in my basement (where the PC's are) and coverage is spotty there, even though I sit in the exact same spot and put my BB in the exact same cradle location.

At work there are also coverage concern areas; so I generally leave the LED on. Blinking at night generally isn't an issue for me, as I leave the BB in the holster (I use the OEM one) even when charging.

I have mine set on and also have the app BB Alerts installed to notify me of different incoming message types. This would probably annoy many others, but what I do when I'm sleeping is turn the BB over so it doesn't bother me.

I've mine set to off. Coverage really isn't an issue so if I look and the light is blinking then I know I've a new message.
