Pondering the purchase of the 8320.... Wondering why wi-fi is such a needed or impressing feature.

What will I gain if I have a wi-fi connection on my blackberry?

I guess this is the chance for all of you wi-fi fans to rant and rave... So please go at it.

The big reason tmobile put wifi on the BB is for hotspots at home. Basically unlimited calling and perfect signal in your home.

I work in construction & I often work in some office buildings were there is little to no cell phone reception. I don't have a desk or a computer, so I can't receive e-mail. If I have wifi, I can hop on their wireless network. Also, in some parts of my house, I have terrible reception. So I will be able to use my wireless instead.

if you're in the sticks, probably not a major deal, if you're in the city, i can see it being an asset.
The above commentary is for entertainment purposes only. If this was actual joke the tone you just heard would have been followed by emergency response information. It's supposed to be fun people.

My opinion would be the other way around. If you are in the sticks you are more then likely in sporadic coverage at best, hence were i would want to use wifi at home to get reception.
