As far as i see it at the moment, he could have rather large amount of emails with attachments, or alot of downloaded files that have ended up on the memory and forgotten, and due to berry not being able to read them, they are still there. ex. exe files and such.

That is quite an extensive list of apps- not to mention themes eat up a lot of space -plus you should consolidate your IM services to one app that does them all live jivetalk or IM+ like I do. Delete some themes - you can always download OTA a diff one later

The unnecessary languages and preloaded media take up some space too. You should also be doing a battery pull or use a rebooting program like SoftReset like every three days at least!

    Hope it helps!

You have the 8310 and they have the 8330. Doesn't the 8330 have more memory?

I don't leave any e-mails on the device at all, unless it's something I need to respond to, but then I will delete it later.

    Don't download anything either.

Wait a minute, though.....I have Vonage phone service and get an e-mail with a .wav attachment when someone leaves a voicemail. I'll sometimes open and listen to the attachment on the BB, but then close it down and delete the e-mail. Does it store those files on the device when they are opened?

It does, but I can't think if any reason why my memory would be so low.

Hmm that's wiered! I would sugest you to do an advanced backup, and just backup the contacts, calc appoitments and task, and the rest could be setup again really easily within minutes. Do a complete device wipe, just leave it overnight, see what happens, because that is extreemly low memory!
