    checkdelta, Welcome to PinStack.

I get that sound on my 8700 every once and a while. It still works so I just ignore it and it eventually goes away. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your BB.

Igot a used 7780 with this problem. If you blow the keyboard with compressed air it will go away for awhile. I assume that shifts dirt around under the buttons.

Since my BB is so old I may risk opening it up soon to see what the true culprit is.

From what I can tell the new models are built better and will not do this.

Re: WHY MY KEYBOARD MAKES NOISE?

thx but the noise is so big and i can hardly suppose it was caused by dust.
maybe the plastic sheet under the keys is not in its right position and the keys hit on the edge of the holes on the sheet? Maybe the tempreture can effect the noise ,when it gets cold, the noise comes.
i will let you know if i find out something.

i am hearing the same noise from both my 8900 (keys q and w) and now my 9700! (keys O/P)... I am gonna try cleaning it... i agree it should like there is something glued to bottom of the keypad that is peeling?? sometimes it does go away..
