    Which BB to choose

I have an option to upgrade my phone. I currently have the tmobile dash. I want to upgrade to a BB. I was not sure if the curve without gps, or the 8800 with gps and no camera. Which one would anyone here choose. I dont know if i want to lose my camera just to gain a gps.

You can get the curve with GPS you know. I don't know what T-mobile offers, but I do know that there is a version of the curve with GPS. Personally speaking, I like the 8800's for the keyboard size, but that's also just my humble opinion. I've also got a Pearl, which I also love, but since using the 8820, I don't want to go back. Not that I don't like my Pearl, but I now prefer the full-sized devices.

    That's my 2 cents.

Yeah tmobile does not offer the gps, with the curve. blackberry states that the phone has the technology but tmobile disables it.

In general speaking, the Curve overall is the better of the bunch. Here let me break in down a bit....

    (Pearl)
PRO : Small size. Gps are quickest to gain lock
CON : Slow suretype. No shortcut key. Small screen

    (Curve)
PRO : Perfect size. Optional gps or wifi. Seperate keys
CON : Slow or No gps lock at time.

    (Worldphone)
PRO : No camera which are good for some. Bigger keys for big hand
CON : Biggest of the bunch. No camera. Key are together

You could always get a wifi-enabled BB then get Google Maps...

Curve 8310 is my favorite as it has GPS, plus camera and the best keyboard of any currently available BB. Especially if you have large hands. I have an 8820 which is 6mm wider across so the keyboard is a bit larger, but the keys are side by side (no space between them) so they are hard to tell apart so you must look down to type.

The keys on the Curve 8310 are separated and much easier to use. I can touch type on it. After owning every BB currently available I prefer the Curve 8310 by a wide margin.

    Cheers

"slow suretype" - actually, the 4.5os improves the type time significantly
"no shortcut key" - there are 2

The Curve is probably the best pick of the present versions IMHO. I have had the Pearl & still have the 8830 & the Curve is the way to go. But if you can wait, the new bb's (Bold, Thunder, etc...) are worth the wait.

I deff like the Curve the best.

Although the TMo 8320 has WiFi (which i LOVE) and no GPS, you can add GPS with a BT GPS puck. Then you get the best of both worlds.

Of course there are rumors of new BBs coming to TMo later this year if you want to wait a few months.
