    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Off the top of my head:

    -better, integrated media player
    -equalizer for media player
    -more memory
    -tabs for internet browsing
    -rubberized bumpers for pearl
-different color led notifications so you can color code
-maybe an additional hot key or side button
    -speaker hole for pearl
    -integrated menu customizer

    ...that's all for now. Lol.

Yeah, how about more BlackBerrys with multi-colored trackballs, like on the BlackBerry Pearl series?

Just because a series isn't aimed at the typical consumer (eg. The BlackBerry 88xx series) doesn't mean that feature will go to waste... Business folk like to personalize their devices too.

3G, thats the big one for me, And they now have the 8820 with WIFI and GPS, now we need one the size of the curve with those AND the Camera. And more memory and a faster Processer. Extrnal Memory card Like the Pearl 2, hot swapable. ( THink the Pearl 2 has that.) they should all have the 4 color LEDS like the first Pearl, that was sweet. I would be OK with touchscreen, but it must retain the key board.

    A clamshell Pearl
    Distinct vibrate settings (like Motorolas)
    WebKit based browser
Option for verbose progress indicators (tell me why the hourglass is spinning and how much longer, damnit!)
Automatically change profiles based on time/space (go to vibrate at office during weekdays 9-5)

I may repeat some of the things already mentioned in this tread but that just shows that people do want these things

I have the BB8830, This is the first PDA Cell Phone that I have owned and I don't think I could go back to a basic cell phone again.

I think that there should be much more possessing power and
More Internal Memory, Can't tell you how many times I have to see the hour glass when using my BB , with all the advices in technology I know that this can be done, Whatever RIM Feels is a fast enof speed they should double it.

Also the BB should be able to view HTML Email.

Much Louder Ring and "Ring AND Vibrate" not just "Ring then Vibrate"

Larger Screen ( I personally want to keep the keyboard but it would be beneficial to have a touch screen for navigational purposes and added options)

I could go on and on with the wish list but these are things that would be Extremely Beneficial for Personal and Business users that chose to own a BlackBerry.

I am sure you all would agree when I say "Good Job RIM, But push the limits"
Check out the cool new social networking site.

The profile changer is the only one of those I would really use on a BB. In addition to that, I want:

Browser (which I will get with the 8120)

WiFi for when my signal isn't the best (which I will get with the 8120)
    3G

    HTML email

AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk, ICQ chat clients that use DATA not text and is not 3rd party

    Deleted items folder

I belive the multicolor trackball was only in the 8100, none of the newer models; and there wasn't even official mention of it.

Yeah the pearl was the only device with the multi color lights in there. It would be neat. But I think it could be a cost effective issues. You know.

    • A Linux-powered operating system.

Don't laugh - Linux is renowned for being pretty much the most secure operating system out there and because of the way it is written, it is almost impossible to hack or infect with viruses/malware.

You may not realize it, but most cellular (mobile) telephone networks are powered by a Linux operating system in the background, as are most companies and Governments - specifically because Linux is so secure and reliable.

As I understand it, it is also easier to write software for Linux than it is Sun Microsystems' Java 2: Micro Edition ("J2ME" - the computer language BlackBerry OS and its software are written in), and the MASSIVE library of existing Linux software could be "ported" over with minimal effort!

It's probably of no interest to Research in Motion (RIM), but as an added bonus, it's highly likely that the "new BlackBerry OS" would be natively or easily compatible with computer-based versions of Linux...

    A must (Urgently needed):
    1. Wi-fi
    2. A lot of improvement needed with vibrating notifications, they should check out sony ericcson on that
    3. a basic but practical calling card feature, so we can dial anyone in the phonebook, and keeping the calling card info separate and easy to update
    4. record calls - sometimes I get directions, phone numbers, what have you, and on the go, where do you get a pen? also, I forget a lot, so this helps.
    5. FM radio
    6. make the stereo jack standard!! so I can use any headset, or hook it up to my stereo
    7. more memory
    8. more compatibility with java software out there

    Happy to have :
    1. GPS
    2. higher resolution camera, with video/with the option to take silent shots
