    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I backed up my 8100, restored the backup to my 8120. It transferred my BB Messenger contacts, address book, custom themes, all data, applications, etc.

I paired my Motorola H680 Bluetooth headset with my 8120, and then setup WiFi.

All I had to buy was an 8 GB MicroSDHC memory card, lanyards, case, and extended battery.

It depends on what you want to do with your BlackBerry. After getting BES configured with my e-mail, my next step is always to download and install my favorite mobile apps that I can't pretty much live without anymore:

    Viigo (for RSS News Feeds)
    Google Maps
    Microsoft Live Search
    GMail for BlackBerry
    Yahoo Go
    Opera Mini

I hope you find some of those as handy as I do,

Previous post edited to say I used the Switch Device Wizard in the Desktop Manager to move my data, apps and themes from my 8100 to the 8120. I also emailed pics from my PC to the 8120 to move them to the media card.

I also deleted all but 2 service books off the 8100, switched my BIS account and PIN/IMEI information over to the new BB. Then resent the service books to the new BB and registered it on the network.

I agree with bigbinxter, Viigo for sure, Google maps and Opera mini would be a great start. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Email and instant messenger setup was always the first thing I did with every bb I've had. After that I bookmarked my favorite sites. Then I'm ready to go. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
