Depends on what the BlackBerry is being used for . . .for my purposes, the PIM aps already present on the device are perfect. Other people, who used their handhelds differently, may have other favorites

I'm a toy lover and anything that looks great, has useful functions and can do what I need it to do at the time, is the perfect app.

Borrowing from MStrawder, b/c he puts everything into such nice and orderly fashion.

    General Apps/Productivity:
    SmrtGuard
    Capture It
    Empower Central
    SpashID
    MessageForward and MessageSchedule
    PocketDay
PhoneFace (ehhh - more of a PITA and toy, than anything else - IMHO)

    Entertainment (Games):
    Shazam
    Centipede (very sluggish) and BookWorm

    Navigation:
    Google Maps

    IM/Social Networking:
    UberTwitter
Twitter (can't decide between the two)
    FaceBook

Post Must have applications 4 BlackBerry

Best Apps ... Most of these are paid apps that I think are worth the coin. Free apps you can obviously download and decide for yourself without any pain unlike shelling out $2 or more and have it be a piece of junk. I put an * next to the free apps. I linked a webpage for each app (hopefully it works) so that you can get more information about the app/service.

Thanks. Great Post. I'm a bit of a BB newb so that really helps me find out all the possibilities that are out there for apps.

I have several free apps on my Torch...
    the bank of america app
    slacker
    weather.com
navigator(tele-nav-came w/phone - used on curve and when upgraded to torch - kept it)
ebay - i am an avid ebayer - so this makes bidding sooo easy!!!
    paypal
waze - I tried this - but doesnt seem to let me do any updating...but may be better in other areas...

I have not ventured much into the paid app world...other than slacker radio - but i am still using the free version with ads on it...thinking of updating that one...

    thx
    kathryn
