Someone I know is getting sent some weird messages to their BB. Does anyone know what they are? I think I remember reading this happening to someone else before.

    Here are the messages:

Yep, happened to me. here is how I was told to fix it and it worked perfectly:

Go into your service books ON THE DEVICE and delete the "Desktop" CICAL and CMIMIE service books.

It it not necessary to delete the Desktop Manager, you can change the setting from Redirector to BIS using Control Panel, Add / Delete, and Modify....

Ok but does that have to be done through BES or the desktop? I ask because I don't think she's on BES, but might have gotten a BB that once was...even though it was supposed to be a new BB.

All I can tell you is what happened to me. I had loaded the newest DM. I THOUGHT that although I did not have BES, I could choose that option and then have the choice to synchronize my work emails when I synced my calendar. It did sync but then I started to get the same messages that your friend is getting.
I deleted the DM and went back to the 4.3 DM and choose BIS. I then deleted the files that was suggested to me and that fixed it. It is my understanding that I did not need to delete and reinstall the DM but I wanted a clean install.

OO I see what you're saying. They set up the device for BES through DM. I remember the initial set up now. Ok I'll check it out. Thanks guys.

Becasue it was trying to send it through a BES, which doesn't exist so it had no Exchange Server with which to process the request and forwarded it directly to the device or email associated with the device.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

The thing is, we were contacts, then he deleted me. I reinvited him via PIN and email and he reappeared as a contact (not in my "updates" that he became a contact..) However, i sent him messages, he said he never recieved them (because they stayed on "D" and never switched "R"), so i delted him, hoping to reinvite him and it'll "work" again. Now we are trying to reinvite each other and it's not going through! On my end, his PIN stays on "Pending" and the keep getting return email messages (the one above) every time I try resending an invite via email.
Is he just deleting the bbm email invite? or is there something genuinely wrong with MY phone? (since I never tried to "invite" a contact via email before...)
