Well you can always get them back by resending. Try deleting one at a time and see what happens, but leave the blackberry internet one and see how it goes.

I deleted the wap sms service book the tried the espn icon & it didn't work I then deleted the browser for 5 click & tried it. It worked :-).

Do you think I'm missing anythin by not having those 2 service books?

BTW - thanks so much for the help.

Yay something worked! As far as what impact those service books have you will just have to see. Test your sms to see if it works. If you have trouble then resend your service books and then re-delete the 5 click one and se what happens....

Glad there was some sort of progress though

Well I didn't even test if sms was working, I resent service books & tested the ESPN icon & it didn't work so I deleted the 5 click browsing service book & then it worked.

I guess I will wait & see what if anything isn't working with that service book being deleted.

    Appreciate you.....

Ditto here - removing the "5 Click" service book immediately caused the CNN icon to open the Blackberry Browser. Thanks for the reasoned approach azstar! Now to see what got broke in it's place

EDIT - the "5 Click" service book is the BIS settings icon. I suspect it (and the problem) would return if I resent service books. I'll take this up with VZW on Monday.

Well maybe if you have your settings set the way you want you won't need it. Let us know what VZW says or if you have other issues.

Exactly correct - I zapped the Service book again and while I don't have the shortcut to get to the BIS settings I'm still getting BIS email

it's just giving you fits huh, maybe you need that 5 click after all. Maybe instead of launcher icons you'll have to just use bookmarks. Very odd. reboot, alt/rt shift/delete and see if that gets your browser working again

Well i reset my BB, it connected to CNN but very slow compared to before. Maybe its a network problem. The locking up issue has been there since i upgraded to .97 & it ticks me off when that happens. It happens maybe 2 to 3 times a day.
