Want to go back to BIS 1.8?

I know I posted this on Sprint's and Cingular's sub-forums, but since this applies to other providers as well, for the benefit of the community, I decided to post it in the General Blackberry Forum
Mods, please feel free to handle this post or the other posts as you may see fit, I just wanted to contribute to the community..

I know some users wish that they could go back to webclient 1.8 , some (like myself) feel that email delivery was faster and miss having folders..
I didn't see this posted in the forums so I might as well post simple instructions on how to do this.
First, you must ask your provider's data support team to delete your web client account (This will let you re-register once again your blackberry on the web client or BIS)
After having your account deleted then based on your provider, register by going to their respective sites:

    Cingular:
    https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...ite=mycingular

    Sprint:
    https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...en&site=sprint

    Nextel:
    https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...en&site=nextel

Verizon - Note I have no way of testing nextel since I dont have service with them...please provide feedback if it works!
    https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...le=en&site=vzw

Rogers - Note I have no way of testing nextel since I dont have service with them...please provide feedback if it works!
    https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...en&site=rogers

    Hope this helps!

Re: Wanto to go back to BIS 1.8?

I believe that the Cingular and Sprint links are reversed. You will need to re-establish the account on your own carrier's webclient site.

One question on this. Does this only work if you had BIS 1.8 to start with? Can a user that got their BlackBerry after the transition use this procedure to get BIS 1.8?
