Ok i been reading around on here about the new 4.5 os update. I currently have verizon as my carrier .. i'm using the pearl 8130, I been reading on the forums that some of you guys are using other carriers updates.. Im wondering.. what carriers are you using? how stable and glitch free has it made your blackberry?
whats some good apps to use on your blackberry.. i'm new to this world. so far i have
pinstack luncher, yahoo messenger, weather , and gmail app
i'm looking for a good free radio station to use..
ps.. does anyone know how to change the track ball color for pearl 8130, this white is okay but rather have blue..
Can't change the color on the 8130. Any official os from any carrier should work fine did my wifes pearl two wks ago and no issues.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Which carrier did you use and where in the world did you find it?
If you have unlimited browsing capability, I would suggest pandora.com for commercial free radio that you choose. I love it.
Unfortunately, you cannot change the trackball for the newer 8100's. RIM has removed the 4 original LED's, which used to be red, green, blue, and white - and only left the white one. =0(
There is a thread here with the link if someone else hasn't posted it before I get home I will do it then.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
spin- just use your browser on your phone you can listen to it?
here is the link and and if you need more info on how to install let me know feel free to pm or pin with questions. http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...66/index7.html
we will get to apps after we get done with OS....lol
Thanks moderncowboy! working good for me.
So... what are the must have apps?
justplain, here is a compilation of all the latest official OS's: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ll_models.html
I check it every so often and update as appropriate.
As for apps, google maps is far superior IMHO to BB Maps. Also, there is a google mobile app which has google maps, gmail, feeds and some other stuff within the app. If you are into RSS feeds, Viigo is the best. It's by FAR my best and most used application. Also moodio is a decent app for streaming radio stations. Only downside is you have to add stations from a PC, not from your phone.
If you google all those apps you should be able to find links and descriptions.
Welcome to the stacks!
First and most important app is your pinstack launcher so you can get here from any where. Spend some time looking around I believe there is a good list of apps in the 3rd party software thread.
