I don't believe so, not the ways you listed.

Although you did leave out Blackberry Messenger which is PIN based as well. That and its on the sticker on the outside of the box....

Why are you asking? You gonna hack someone's bb or are you afraid someone will hack yours?~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Or did you get a spam message? Someone could actually just send random pin messages just trying out different number letter combos

Ok so here's the deal. My gf's boss we think but not sure somehow sent her a bb messenger request but if it is him we have no idea how he got her pin. She said he's never had her phone, she's never pinned or bb messaged him, she's never been away from her phone that would be a hell of a coincidence if he just so happened to put in her pin by accident. The phone is rufurbished but he just got his first bb so it's highly unlikely he had someone else with that pin as a contact in his bb. It's just wierd. So I was wondering if there was anyway it could be done. Also this is her private blackberry not a business phone. It is on my plan with t-mobile...So I have no idea. Weird......

Well that would be a big coincidence. But beyond him getting it from someone else, there is no way for a person to get snothers pin without it being on a public basis ie: pinstack, where people post the pins in the screen name. Has your gf posted on the stacks, and does her boss visit the stacks? That would be my next question.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

There is no way for someone to derive a PIN from any source.

I was just about to ask WHO purchased the phone, her or her "supposed" boss? If HE purchased it, all he had to do is look at the phone by going to Options>Status (if he knew how to do that. The OP mentioned the boss is a BB Newbie so he may not know how). Her PIN would be listed where the field "PIN:xxxxxxxx" is located.

You don't need someone's Pin in order to BB message, I have a friend who changed her Pearl for a Curve, since I helped her set up her BB I knew her @tmo.blackberry.net email addy and requested her that way. Perhaps same thing happened here.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ well you can do this, deny the request. And you don't have to worry bout it. PIN msgs use data not txt msgs. If the person keeps msging you can accuse/report them for stalking. But maybe if you deny, then you won't hear anything.

Another thing to do is call TMO, let them patch you to BBTech Support, and get RIM to unlock and change your PIN.

    That should work for ya

Ok so I think I figured it out. He knew her yahoo email address which is attatched to her bb. I figure he added her like that not knowing about bb messenger that it is pin based. Thanks for all your input. Just to not leave any questions unanswered. I bought the bb not her boss. We know it was her boss because of the email address the request came from. Finally she is not on pinstack nor did she post her pin anywhere. Thanks for all the help but I'm pretty sure that's how he did it.
